GAC NIO’s HYCAN publishes more details of its first production model “007”

Shanghai (ZXZC)- HYCAN, the EV brand of GAC NIO New Energy Automotive Co.,Ltd (GAC NIO), has unveiled via its WeChat account of more details about its first production model “007”, which is of particular concern to the consumers.

Launched on December 27, 2019, the HYCAN 007 is a mid-sized all-electric SUV offered in five variants priced between RMB260,000 and RMB400,000 in presale. It is expected for delivery in April 2020.

The information announced this time is about the BASE, the PLUS and the TOP versions. Powered by a 73kWh battery pack, the BASE has a NEDC-rated range of 523km and can sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.2 seconds. It can be charged from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity in 33 minutes using a fast-charging mode and in 6.2 hours under a slow-charging mode.

The PLUS and the TOP feature a large of portion of power performances in common. Both of them carry a 93kWh battery pack, which offers the vehicle a NEDC-rated range of up to 643km. Besides, they do 0-100km/h acceleration in 7.9 seconds, and from 30% to 80% of battery capacity can be charged within 7.9 second using fast-charging mode.

The three versions are all outfitted with CATL's NCM811 battery and the vehicle-to-grid system.

As for the chassis system, all of them get a multi-link rear suspension system to go with their front MacPherson struts, EPS (electric power steering) and Bosch's iBooster electromechanical brake booster. The differences lay on tires and rims. The BASE is offered 245/55 R19 tires and 19-inch aluminium alloy rims, while the sizes for both the PLUS and the TOP are 245/50 R20 and 20 inches.

In addition, the level 2 plus ADAS features for three versions include ACC (adaptive cruise control), LDW (lane departure warning), FCW (forward collision warning), AEB (autonomous emergency braking), LKA (lane-keeping assist), TJA (traffic jam assist), ICA (integrated cruise assistance), BSD (blind spot detection), LCA (lane change assist), RCTA (rear cross-traffic alert), TSR (traffic sign recognition) as well as multifunctional EDR (event data recorder). The panoramic imaging system is also available to all of them.
