Human Horizons unveils first mass-produced model HiPhi 1

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Human Horizons launched on July 31 the PV brand dubbed HiPhi, and took the wraps off its first mass-produced model HiPhi 1 at the same time, according to the Chinese NEV startup.

It is reported that the new model will be manufactured at Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia's plant in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. Mass production and sales are expected to start in 2021.

On October 22, 2018, Human Horizons unveiled two BEV concept models, the Concept H Hypervelocity and the Concept A Active-agility, at the launching ceremony of its corporate strategy.

Human Horizons defined itself as an innovative technology company committed to future intelligent mobility with “3-Smart” (Smart Vehicle, Smart Transportation and Smart City) as its strategy. To realize the goal of the “3-Smart” Strategy, the company claimed that it business focuses on 5 major areas: (1) all-new smart vehicle development and manufacturing, (2) vehicle, charging network and energy resource sharing, (3) Internet of Vehicles (IOV) and advanced open-platform autonomous driving, (4) smart transportation applications and (5) smart city development.

Then the company offered the first glimpse of its third concept model, the Concept-U, in this year's April at the unveiling ceremony for its smart vehicle strategic deployment.

“Vehicle development is well on track and the first model will realize mass production by the end of 2020,” the EV maker said.   

The startup also accumulated ample industrial chain resources though tie-ups with a number of partners. On June 17, it forged a strategic partnership with Jiangsu Yueda Group, a Yancheng-based investment management company, and Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia, Kia Motors' joint venture in China, to cooperate in NEV production and supply chain.

Besides, Human Horizons is also partnering with distinguished suppliers such as Bosch, Continental, Aptiv, Aisin Seiki, Yanfeng Group, CATL, Dow, Dassault and Siemens.
