Shanghai (ZXZC)- Hangzhou-based startup LeapMotor started the official delivery on June 28 with 12 units of the S01 all-electric coupe handed over to consumers, according to local media outlets.
The vehicle involved in the latest delivery is the LeapMotor S01 380 Pro, which is priced at RMB209,900 before subsidy and features a range of 300km.

As the startup's first production model, the S01's two-door coupe exterior is rather audacious in terms of design. It measures 4,075mm long, 1,760mm wide and 1,380mm tall with a wheelbase spanning 2,500mm.

The styling and shape of the cockpit generate an overall sense of spaciousness. At the center console, a 10.1-inch display devoid of physical buttons is immediately noticeable to the vehicle's occupants. Besides, the S01 is outfitted with the “Leap In” identification key that allows drivers to unlock the vehicle using finger vein recognition and facial identification systems rather than a real key.
The S01 offers four variants in total—the 380 Standard, the 380 Pro, the 460 Standard and the 460 Pro—with after-subsidy prices ranging between RMB119,900 and RMB159,900. Under the hood, a permanent magnet synchronous motor that can generate up to 125kW and 250 N·m will enables the vehicle to complete 0-100km/h within 6.9 seconds. The combined range for the S01 380 and the S01 460 reaches 300km and 380km respectively. Under the fast-charging mode, the S01 can be charged from 30% to 80% of its battery capacity within 1 hour, while it will take 6 hours to 8 hours using the slow-charging mode.
The transition period prior to the implementation of the new NEV subsidy policy officially ended on June 25, which means all local subsidies would be scrapped, while the state's subsidies would be decreased accordingly. Under such circumstance, LeapMotor said the prices of the S01 will be increased by RMB10,000 over the previous prices with the green-car subsidies.
