The report said that Mr. Wang was mainly responsible for the development of highly-integrated automobile electronics in Visteon, such as ADAS, digital instrument clusters, infotainment and driver monitoring system.
In 2015, the supplier launched SmartCore, an automotive, integrated domain controller approach which can independently operate the infotainment system, instrument cluster, head-up display, rear-seat displays and other features on a single, multi-core chip.
Li Auto will be the first Chinese automaker who has in-house development of domain controller, Li Xiang, the automaker’s founder, chairman and CEO, said to a local media. In April, Li Xiang revealed that his company is developing operation system, electrical/electronic architecture and domain controller, which will be used in the second-generation vehicle.
The company plans to launch a full-size premium electric SUV in 2022, which will be equipped with its next-generation EREV (extended-range electric passenger vehicles) powertrain system. In the future, to target a broader consumer base, it will expand product lineup by developing new vehicles including mid-size and compact SUV models.
