HOZON Auto to supply at least 1,000 Nezha N01s for Chengdu-based ride-hailing platform
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Nezha, a BEV brand owned by Chinese EV startup HOZON Auto, announced on August 12 it will supply a Chengdu-based ride-hailing service provider dubbed Dige Chuxing ·365 Yueche with not fewer than 1,000 Nezha N01 all-electric vehicles. Both parties have signed an agreement for this cooperation.
As a young ride-hailing service brand, Dige Chuxing aims to make its service special by using small-sized pure electric vehicles, so as to contribute to a cleaner road transportation environment, improve passengers' riding experience, lower user’s cost on hailing a taxi and increase the income of the drivers registered on its platform, Wang Juan, general manager of Sichuan Dige Driver and Mobility Service Management Center.

Positioned as a small-sized all-electric SUV, the Nezha N01 offered two NEDC-rated range options—301km and 351km. Partly thanks to the H-EPT 2.0 electric control system, the vehicle can be charged to 80% from 30% of its battery capacity with a combined charging efficiency of up to 94%.
The startup struck deals in 2018 with four car-sharing platforms—Fun & Cheer, Bage Chuxing, Xiao’er Zuche and PonyCar—to sell them vehicles. Under the agreements, the four companies purchased a total of 20,000 BEVs from Nezha in 2018 and 2019.
However, Nezha was forced to temporarily pull out of car-sharing area as the aforesaid four buyers successively sank into plights like bankruptcy in the early 2019.
According to Nezha, the EV brand saw its Jan.-Jul. sales jump 15% year on year to 6,018 units. The collaboration with Dide Chuxing is expected to help the EV maker further increase its sales in the second half of the year.
