Xpeng Motors exports second batch of G3s to Norway
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Xpeng Motors said its second batch of Xpeng G3 SUVs to be sold in Norway has departed from Guangzhou. This came after the successful customer delivery of its first batch of G3s for the Norwegian market in December 2020, marking another step in the company’s global market offensive.

“We are dedicated to long-term brand and reputation building for global market, and work on offering users innovative and localized features and better experience,” said the EV manufacturer.
Xpeng Motors' monthly deliveries hit a record high of 6,015 EVs in January 2021, rocketing 470% from the previous year and marking the third straight month of record-breaking delivery volume. The total January deliveries consisted of 3,710 P7s and 2,305 G3s.
The company noted the first G3s exported to Europe are about to receive its first-time operating system upgrade with some functions to be improved, such as the security alerts of ACC (adaptive cruise control) and LCC (lane centering control), and new functions, like the voice command for mapping system, to be added.
Moreover, Xpeng Motors has optimized its XPILOT advanced driver assistance system and Xmart OS in-car intelligent system of the G3s exported based on local users’ driving behaviors.
The European markets, particularly those with higher EV consumer awareness and sound EV infrastructures, are showing great chances and demands for smart EVs. A local media channel reported in last November NIO had set up an overseas business unit in a bid to start selling products in European markets in 2021. Under the project code-named “Marco Polo”, NIO had allocated many staff members for its export business unit, aiming to sell 7,000 ES8 and ES6 SUVs in Europe within two years.
