BAIC BJEV’s handbag-shaped LITE-R300 EV hits the market on China’s Internet Valentine's Day
Shanghai (ZXZC)- BAIC BJEV’s LITE-R300 mid-sized EV officially hit the market on May 20, China's so-called Internet Valentine's Day. With three variants to be offered, the new model is priced between RMB110,800 and RMB126,800 after subsidy.

The new model is sold via BAIC BJEV’s online flagship store on JD’s e-commerce platform. It features a boxy while delicate overall styling that simulates the shape of a lady’s handbag. There are LED displays at both front face and rear end which allow users to design some interesting emoticons or personalized characters.
Such niceties as xenon headlights, frameless car doors, aluminium alloy rims, panoramic roof and automotive backup camera are quite welcomed by consumers.
The new EV measures 2,986mm long, 1,676mm wide and 1,517mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 1,870mm.

As to the interior, the futuristic feeling is characterized by three liquid crystal displays—(from left to right) an instrument panel, a center console dashboard and an entertainment screen. Moreover, the LITE-R300 boasts an upgraded voice recognition system that could be used in navigation, telephone and air conditioner control. Other functions include mobile phone wireless charging, dedicated “cloud-key” application as well as one-key window lift.
The LITE-R300 gets an electric motor at rear axle with a maximum output of 40kW and torque peak of 140 N·m. A 30kWh ternary-lithium battery enables a NEDC-rated range up to 300km. The EV can be charged to 80% of its battery capacity within 30 minutes under a fast charging mode.
