Nio (NYSE: NIO) has seen further reductions in wait times for several of its models in China, after the company saw the information shorten almost weekly for the past two to three months.
All three available models of Nio's NT 2.0 platform -- the ES7, ET7 and ET5 -- are seeing slightly shorter wait times today, information from the company's mobile app monitored by CnEVPost shows.
Consumers who lock in their ES7 orders now can expect delivery in about three weeks. Previously, the wait time for the ES7 was 3-4 weeks.
The latest wait time for Nio's flagship sedan, the ET7, is also about 3 weeks, slightly shorter than the previous 3-4 weeks. The company's less expensive sedan, the ET5, has a wait time of 2-3 weeks, down from about 3 weeks previously.
Nio App is currently showing eight models, including the ES8, ES6 and EC6 based on the NT 1.0 platform, and the new ES8, ES7, EC7, ET7 and ET5 based on the NT 2.0 platform.
The EC7 coupe SUV and the new ES8 were launched at Nio Day 2022 on December 24, 2022, and deliveries will begin in May and June 2023, respectively.
After the launch of the EC7 and the new ES8, older Nio models are still available for sale.
The Nio App still does not show wait times for the older ES8 and the EC6. The ES6 is about 2 weeks, consistent with the previous information.

Nio is transitioning all of its NT 1.0-based models to the NT 2.0 platform to give them a better assisted driving and smart cockpit experience.
The NT 2.0-based ES8 has already been launched, while the new ES6 and new EC6 have not yet been officially unveiled, but they have previously appeared in the filing catalogs of Chinese regulatory authorities.
In a media communication on February 6, Nio co-founder and president Qin Lihong said that one or two of the company's yet-to-be-released new models could be delivered earlier than the EC7 and the new ES8.
Qin's words and the latest information mean that deliveries of the new EC6 could begin by the end of May.
To make way for the new models, Nio started offering discounts earlier this month to clear out inventory cars.
It's worth noting that in addition to offering discounts on stock cars, Nio is also offering small benefits on models based on the NT 2.0 platform.
Consumers who purchase the ET7, ES7 and ET5 can enjoy a 2-year interest-free loan program with down payments starting at 15 percent, according to the program released by Nio on February 3.
Consumers who purchase 2022 ES8, ET7, ES7 with full cash payment can get RMB 5,000 cash discount, for 2022 ES6, 2022 EC6, ET5, the amount is RMB 3,000.
