Shanghai (ZXZC)- Changan Oushang is going to launch its all-new strategy and unveil the third SUV model dubbed COS1° at the forthcoming Auto China 2018 in Beijing, according to local media. The new model is expected to go on sale in June or July this year, concurrently launching 4 versions with different seat layouts, according to Yang Guanghua, vice general manager of Changan Oushang auto unit.

Reportedly, the automaker will rename itself as Oushang Cars and pick up the best commercial vehicle dealers for the COS1°. Apart from that, the COS1° will also be delivered through a part of Changan Auto's passenger vehicle marketing channels.

The COS1° is Changan Oushang's first high-end SUV model. Unlike former models, the COS1° features all-new logo at the front and rear ends. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV model, the COS1° will be sold with price range of RMB 100,000 to RMB 150,000. The new model measures 4,830mm in length, 1,868mm in width and 1,750mm/1,775mm in height and boasts a wheelbase of 2,800mm, which is longer and higher than that of the Zotye T700.

The COS1° adopts hexagon dot-matrix intake grille at its front face with LED light-source headlights on both sides. Besides, there are three waistlines melting into the body sides and a floating roof equipped with luggage racks. A spoil and an engine shield are located at the rear end.

Featuring a dark-colored interior, the COS1° carries a horizontal console embedded with a massive liquid crystal display that delivers a profoundly futuristic feeling. In addition, the new model is mounted with various technology configurations, such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane departure warning system (LDWS), panoramic holographic image, 3-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, push-to-start button, electrical park brake, and so on.

The COS1° will be powered by a 1.5L turbocharged engine with a maximum power output of 131kW and a peak torque of 265Nm. Meanwhile, the engine may be mated with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic manual transmission.
