IM Motors today began pre-sales of the LS6 at the Chengdu auto show, with a price range of RMB 229,900 ($32,410) to RMB 299,900.

The updated version of the LS6 comes on IM Motors' Lingxi digital chassis with four-wheel steering. These features give the LS6 a Mini Cooper S-like ultra-small turning radius, even though it is a mid-to-large-size SUV, the company said.

The SUV's smart driving system is powered by components including Nvidia's Orin X chip as well as LiDAR.

IM Motors was founded on November 26, 2020, by SAIC, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech and Alibaba, with SAIC holding a majority stake.

In addition to the LS6, IM Motors is selling the L7 and L6 sedans and the LS7 SUV.

IM Motors has had a weak sales performance over the past 2 years and often does not release monthly figures.

In July, IM Motors delivered 6,017 vehicles, according to figures it released earlier this month. The company didn't release deliveries for other months this year.
