Lynk & Co began accepting customer pre-orders for the Z10 on August 15, with the official launch set for September 5.

Lynk & Co, which is jointly owned by Geely Auto and Volvo Cars, seems to be seeing good initial acceptance of its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the Z10.

In the first 24 hours of pre-sales, the Z10 received more than 10,000 pre-orders, Lynk & Co announced today.

Lynk & Co began accepting pre-orders for the Z10 on August 15, with the model starting at RMB 215,800 ($30,120) in pre-sales.

Customers who pay a refundable RMB 1,000 to reserve the model before its official launch will receive up to RMB 28,000 worth of benefits.

Test drives of the Z10 are already available at Lynk & Co stores, and the official launch will be on September 5.

The model is an all-electric mid-to-large-size sedan with a length, width and height of 5,028 mm, 1,966 mm and 1,468 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,005 mm.

The car will be offered in five variants, including three built on the 400 V platform and two on the 800 V platform, according to its specification sheet.

The availability of variants based on two voltage platforms is intended to satisfy customers with different needs, Lynk & Co said today.

The variants built on the 800 V platform meets the needs of users with medium- and long-distance fast-charging needs, allowing them to have less range anxiety on long-distance trips and to get better performance, the company said.

The 400 V variants, on the other hand, caters to users with urban mobility needs and are more focused on in-town commuting scenarios for those who have the convenience of charging at home, it said.

The Z10 is available in just one dual-motor four-wheel drive variant, which can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds. All other variants are single-motor rear-wheel drive models.

The model is offered with two battery options, with 75 kWh and 95 kWh capacities, and offers CLTC ranges of 602 km, 766 km, 806 km, and 702 km, respectively.
