China EV battery installations in Jul: CATL's share 47.3%, BYD 22.83%
CATL's share increased by 2.24 percentage points in July compared to June, while BYD decreased by 2.49 percentage points.
CATL installed 19.42 GWh of power batteries in July, continuing to rank first with a 47.3 percent share, up 2.24 percentage points from June's 45.06 percent share.
BYD's power battery installed capacity was 9.37 GWh in July, ranking second with a 22.83 percent share, down 2.49 percentage points from 25.32 percent in June.
CALB ranked third in July with a 7.16 percent share of 2.94 GWh of installed power batteries, down 0.16 percentage points from 7.32 percent in June.
Gotion High-tech ranked fourth in July with 1.73 GWh of installed capacity and a 4.21 percent share.
Notably, Eve Energy ranked fourth in June with an installed volume of 1.69 GWh or 3.99 percent share.
China's lithium ternary battery installed capacity in July was 11.4 GWh, accounting for 27.3 percent of the total, up 7.5 percent year-on-year and up 2.3 percent from June.
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries were installed at 30.1 GWh, accounting for 72.5 percent of the total, up 39.2 percent year-on-year, but down 4.8 percent from June.
CATL, CALB, and LG Energy Solution were the top three in terms of installed capacity of ternary batteries in July, with shares of 70.88 percent, 6.65 percent, and 5.16 percent, respectively.
In the LFP battery market, CATL, BYD and CALB had the highest installations in July, with shares of 38.94 percent, 30.94 percent and 7.4 percent respectively.
China's power battery production in July was 91.8 GWh, up 50.49 percent year-on-year and up 8.64 percent from June.
Ternary batteries produced 23 GWh in July, up 12.75 percent year-on-year and 12.2 percent from June. LFP batteries produced 68.5 GWh, up 69.14 percent year-on-year and up 7.37 percent from June.
China exported 9.6 GWh of power batteries in July, including 5.9 GWh of ternary batteries and 3.5 GWh of LFP batteries.
