Shanghai (ZXZC)- Xpeng Motors and German BASF Corporation (BASF), one of the world's largest chemical producers, jointly held a technology innovation day on June 20 at Huangpu accelerator industry park, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

Most strikingly, Xpeng Motors and BASF signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement at the event. Moreover, Xpeng Motors and BASF held a technology seminar to exchange ideas, in order to get better knowledge of each other and seek more cooperation in the future.

The strategic cooperation reached an agreement on six items on relevant complete vehicle manufacturing, mainly targeting the vehicle body, chassis NVH, powertrain, as well as interior and exterior parts. Particularly, both parties will jointly develop high-performance materials of electric technologies, including battery, electric drive, electronic control and autonomous driving parts.

During the event, technical representatives from BASF also shared cutting-edge solutions in auto field, such as light-weight technology, innovative coating technique, color solutions, and chassis solutions with Xpeng Motors. By virtue of innovative bespoke solutions, both parties expect to achieve continuous technological innovation and make breakthroughs in technologies, aiming to boost the development of new energy vehicles.
