Nio has provided over 9.7 million battery swaps in past four years

Nio Power today marks its fourth anniversary since it began providing service.

Nio (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866, SGX: Nio) today announced the cumulative number of services provided by Nio Power, as the energy service system celebrates its fourth anniversary.

As of June 28, Nio had 997 battery swap stations worldwide, providing more than 9.7 million cumulative battery swap services to customers, the company said today on its mobile app.

Nio currently has 996 battery swap stations in China, 254 of which are located along highways, according to data monitored by CnEVPost. In overseas markets, it has one battery swap station in Norway.

On June 28, 2018, the Nio Power one-click power-up service was opened, marking the official opening of the service to Nio users.

As of today, Nio has cumulatively installed home charging piles for more than 120,000 customers, installed 4,795 supercharging piles and 4,391 destination charging piles worldwide, and has access to more than 810,000 third-party charging piles globally, according to the company.

As of May 31, 2022, Nio's cumulative deliveries since inception were 204,936 units, according to data the company released on June 1. Its delivery figures for June are expected to be released on Friday, July 1.

To date, Nio has also provided battery upgrades to a cumulative total of more than 17,000 customers.

Nio's models have support for battery swap, which allows owners who have purchased models with smaller capacity batteries to replace them with larger batteries. Currently, owners can choose to upgrade their batteries on a monthly or annual basis.
