Shanghai (ZXZC)- BAIC Group and Brilliance Auto Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement at the 10th APEC Small & Medium Enterprises Technology Conference and Fair on June 27.

In accordance with the agreement, BAIC and Brilliance will cooperate in such areas as new-energy official vehicles, taxies, ride-hailing cars, private cars, express logistics vehicles and car sharing, to jointly promote the popularization of new energy vehicles (NEV) in Shenyang and other Northeastern cities, and further expand their businesses to the whole Chinese market. 

In addition, both parties will take advantage of each other's  resources in product development and manufacturing, battery charging and swapping facilities and capital operation. They both showed their intention on establishing joint ventures to deepen strategic cooperation comprehensively.

Xu Heyi, chairman of BAIC Group stated that BAIC's strategic cooperation with Brilliance is a big move of BAIC's opening and sharing strategy. They will make full use of their advantages in industry and resources to provide remarkable and efficient solutions to NEV popularization in Northeast and even in China.

Qi Yumin, chairman of Brilliance Group also said that Brilliance and BAIC Group will accelerate to put the cooperation into action, and will localize taxies and ride-hailing cars first.
