Shanghai (ZXZC)- Oushang Auto, formerly called Changan Oushang, released its new strategy and deployment on June 4, saying that the auto brand will launch 10 to 12 new models from 2018 through 2021.

On Apr. 23, Changan Automobile renamed Changan Oushang as Oushang Auto on the eve of Auto China 2018 and started to adopt new logo on the models under this brand. Besides, Changan Automobile also released its latest development strategy.

Starting from commercial vehicles, Oushang Auto once led the pack in minivan market. However, minivans suffered market shares drop from 2010 and 2017 saw its least market shares. Therefore, Oushang Auto started to quit the business of traditional fuel-powered minivan market and turned to passenger vehicle market. With the launching of the COS1°, the first model under the new brand, Oushang Auto has become Changan's another independent passenger vehicle brand.

Oushang Auto adopts a strategy that develops MPV and SUV simultaneously. Currently, it boasts five models like the A600, A800 and X70A with price range between RMB 30,000 and RMB100, 000. The COS1°, Oushang's first high-end SUV model, will hit the market in August.
