Dongfeng Nissan posts YoY sales growth of 5% in Q1

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Dongfeng Nissan reported a MoM sales surge of 48.6% to 86,354 units in March. Its cumulative sales in the first quarter reached 242,767 units, up 5% over the previous year, according to Dongfeng Nissan's latest output and sales report. 

As to specific models, sales of the Sylphy reached 30,535 units in March, rising 2.7% year on year. Delivery of the Nissan Teana reached 9,006 units in March, keeping on seizing medium-sized vehicle segment. In March, Dongfeng Nissan posted total SUV sales of 36,943 units with a YoY growth of 21.9%.

This year, Dongfeng Nissan will transfer its brand from youth to intelligence. It will introduce the innovative technologies of Nissan Intelligent Mobility in China. Moreover, it will launch a pure electric sedan based on Nissan EV technology, which is likely to be named as the Sylphy EV300. In addition, Dongfeng Nissan will sell an all-new SUV, the Nissan Terra in its sales channel. 

Dongfeng Nissan also invested heavily in intelligent driving and intelligent connected vehicles. It had introduced a great many cutting-edge technologies into China, including Nissan i-Safety. The innovative technologies of Nissan Intelligent Mobility deployed in the all-new Nissan Leaf, such as ProPILOT, ProPILOT Park and e-Pedal will introduce into the Chinese market soon.

At Auto Guangzhou 2017, Dongfeng Nissan launched i-Power plan, which further confirms the product directions of fuel-powered vehicles, hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles. It offers a practical power blueprint to the customers, including introducing Nissan's most advanced EV technologies and revolutionary e-Power into the Chinese market. 

This year, Dongfeng Nissan will introduce a pure electric vehicle model with EV technology. The model will make its debut at Auto China 2018. Additionally, the all-new Nissan Terra will also hit the market on Apr. 12.
