BYD Jun sales breakdown: Song 70,219 units, Qin 68,450

The Song and Qin families continue to be BYD's best-sellers. The Yuan family was the third best-selling BYD model in June, with 36,222 units sold.

The Song family sold 70,219 units in June, continuing to rank as the top-selling BYD model. That's up 65.66 percent year-on-year, but down 14.55 percent from May.

The Song family models on sale include the Song L and Song Pro from the Dynasty lineup, and the Song Plus EV and Song Plus DM-i from the Ocean lineup.

BYD's Dynasty series of Song models sold 24,658 units in June, down 33.83 percent from 37,267 units in May.

Its Ocean line of Song models sold 45,561 units in June, up 1.46 percent from 44,907 in May.

The BYD Qin family of models continued to be the second best-selling BYD model with 68,450 units sold in June. That's up 54.73 percent year-on-year and up 19.94 percent from May.

The BYD Yuan family sold 36,222 units in June, up 6.74 percent year-on-year but down 9.96 percent from May.

The BYD Seagull sold 36,066 units in June, up 56.77 percent year-on-year and up 1.97 percent from May.

The BYD Seagull was launched on April 26, 2023, when it had a starting price of RMB 73,800 ($10,150), making it the cheapest BYD model.

On March 6, BYD launched the Glory edition of the Seagull with a starting price of RMB 69,800, RMB 4,000, or 5.42 percent, lower than its predecessor.

BYD Chaser 05 sold 32,980 units in June, up 222.64 percent year-on-year and up 0.29 percent from May.

The BYD Seal sold 24,407 units in June, up 200.06 percent year-on-year and up 70.55 percent from May.

The BYD Han family sold 21,866 units in June, down 5.77 percent year-on-year and down 0.62 percent from May.

The BYD Tang sold 15,719 units in June, up 24.19 percent year-on-year and up 1.56 percent from May.

The BYD Dolphin sold 10,860 units in June, down 65.13 percent year-on-year but up 2.22 percent from May.

The BYD Sea Lion 07 sold 6,950 units in June, the model was launched on May 10 and is the first model of BYD's new technology platform e-Platform 3.0 Evo.

The BYD e2 sold 580 units in June, down 83.76 percent year-on-year and down 30.20 percent from May.

The BYD Frigate 07 sold 519 units in June, down 93.54 percent year-on-year and down 33.63 percent from May.

BYD's premium Denza brand delivered 12,275 units in June, up 11.01 percent year-on-year and up 0.43 percent from May.

Denza's deliveries in June included 10,186 units of the D9 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), 2,089 units of the N7 SUV.

BYD's personalized sub-brand, Fang Cheng Bao, delivered 2,680 vehicles in June. Fang Cheng Bao's first model, the Bao 5, was officially launched on 9 November 2023 and deliveries began on 23 November.

The Yangwang brand delivered 418 vehicles in June, and BYD's ultra-luxury sub-brand launched its first model, the U8, on September 20, 2023, with deliveries beginning on November 24.

The U8, which has a starting price of RMB 1,098,000, delivered 5,500 units from January to June.
