BYD releases D++ ecosystem, plan for Qin Pro developer version

Shanghai (ZXZC)- On Sept. 5, BYD officially started its first open ecology for intelligent vehicles, BYD D++ open ecology, at BYD Worldwide Developer Conference. In the meantime, BYD also launched stage opening plan for the Qin Pro developer version, which will hit the market on Sept. 20.

The BYD D++ open ecology includes autonomous driving by-wire platform and vehicle application development platform. Particularly, autonomous driving by-wire platform will provide by-wire vehicles, open up control right, and optimize power resource, structure and wiring harness to autonomous driving companies, helping simplize the R&D of autonomous driving and shorten the R&D period. 

In addition, the vehicle application development platform will provide onboard application development tool (SDK simulator), and also will open up 341 sensors and 66 control rights gradually, in order to integrate artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, 5G and blockchain into the body of a vehicle.

BYD will divide its information and control signal sensors into 1.0 version, 2.0 version and self-driving developer version and will open up them gradually.

BYD will build up various platforms to serve developers, such as developers' website, developers' training camp, developers' salon and developers' innovation and investment forum.

According to the opening plan of the BYD Qin Pro developer version, BYD plans to launch basic version, ecology developer version, self-driving developer version. The differences between these versions mainly lie in such areas as data permission, control permission and ecological application.

During the conference, BYD also unveiled a variety of special rights and interests of the Qin Pro developer version. In addition, BYD will deepen cooperation with Baidu Apollo in autonomous driving field.
