Li Auto begins delivering vehicles in December 2019 and reaches its 100,000th delivery milestone in November 2021 and sees its 500,000th vehicle delivered in September 2023.

Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has reached the 800,000th cumulative delivery milestone, 54 months after the delivery of its first vehicle, the company announced today.

The automaker delivered 35,020 vehicles in May, bringing cumulative deliveries to 774,571 vehicles, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

That means Li Auto has delivered 25,429 vehicles so far this month.

Li Auto guided on May 20 that vehicle deliveries for the second quarter would be between 105,000 and 110,000 vehicles, implying year-on-year growth of 21.3 percent to 27.1 percent.

Its combined deliveries in April and May were 60,807 vehicles, meaning it would have to deliver at least 44,193 vehicles in June to meet the guidance range.

Li Auto, founded in July 2015, is one of the major extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) players in China.

Its first model, the Li One EREV, was launched in October 2018 and deliveries began in December 2019.

The Li One has now been discontinued and Li Auto is currently selling models mainly in the L-series EREVs, including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9.

On March 1, Li Auto's first BEV, the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), was launched, but its weak performance contributed only limited sales.

Li Auto reached the 100,000th delivery milestone in November 2021 and saw its 200,000th vehicle delivery in August 2022 and 500,000th vehicle delivery in September 2023.

The company had planned to launch three additional BEV models later this year and had expectations of up to 800,000 deliveries for the full 2024 model year.

After a weak performance from the Li Mega, Li Auto has delayed the launch of three new BEV models until the first half of 2025.

On March 22, Li Auto announced in an investor meeting that it was lowering its sales forecast to 560,000-640,000 from its original 650,000-800,000 sales forecast, according to local media outlet 21jingji.
