Geely's first pure electric crossover SUV exposed to have expected range of over 400km
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Geely exposed the pictures of its first electric crossover model, the Emgrand GSe in recent days. Based on the gasoline version of the Emgrand GS, the new model's range is likely to exceed 400km. It is said that the GSe will be unveiled in this month and hit the market within this year.
Looking from its pictures, the GSe basically retains the sporty and fashionable design style of the Emgrand GS and also features innovative design style of EV models. The new model adopts Geely's iconic design style of a closed intake grille, which can demonstrate the model's EV identity. With two air vents on both sides of the front bumper, the model looks more dynamic. From the pictures, the Emgrand GSe will be equipped with LED daytime running light strips. What's more, the new model measures 4440mm in length, 1833mm in width and 1560mm in height and sets on a wheelbase of 2700mm.
The Emgrand GSe will adopt two large five-spoke aluminum wheel hubs, delivering strong sporty sense. The GSe features a more well-rounded design style on tail lights than that of the GS. In addition, the new pure electric model removes the design of exhaust pipes, since the model is a pure electric vehicle model.
The GSe will be Geely's second BEV model. It is said that the new model will adopt the same battery, electric motor and electronic control system as the Emgrand EV450. Powered by an electric motor with a maximum power output of 120kW, mated with a ternary lithium battery pack as energy storage device, the model is likely to have a range of more than 400km.
