Shanghai (ZXZC)- Lynk & Co will unveil the 02 and release its presale price at Auto China 2018. At the same time, Lynk & Co's first plug-in hybrid electric SUV, the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV will also be launched at the event. 

The 01 and 02 are SUV models positioned as high-performance SUVs, shaping Lynk & Co's twin-star strategy to compete in the Chinese SUV segment.

Adopting the design idea of urban aesthetics of opposites in its appearance, the model features a horizontal-designed intake grille, which enables the model seemingly wider at its front end. Besides, the model adopts a split-type design on its headlights, featuring LED daytime running lamps on both sides of the engine hood, mated with three-dimensional and unmistakable inner light strips.

Thanks to the flexibility and scalability of the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), the Lynk & Co 02 has adjustments in size compared with the 01. The 02 measures 4,448mm in length, 1,890mm in width and 1,528mm in height and sets on a wheelbase of 2,702mm, which is more competitive than the models in its same class.

The Lynk & Co 02 features the same rear end design as its front end. It looks youthful and sporty with a silver fender apron mated with one exhaust pipe on both sides. The Lynk & Co 02 will be equipped with 1.5 T or 2.0 T turbocharged engine. As to the 1.5 T variants, there are two power versions with a respective power output of 132 kilowatts and 115 kilowatts. The maximum output of the 2.0 T can be up to 140 kilowatts and will be equipped with all-wheel-drive system. The combined fuel consumption is about 6.8 L per 100 kilometers.

The Lynk & Co 01 PHEV has slight differences from its gasoline version. The identity of a NEV is embodied with blue elements at the intake grille and fender. In terms of the powertrain, the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV is powered by a 1.5T engine and a plug-in hybrid system, mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Under a pure electric drive mode, the model's maximum range will reach 51km.

An Conghui, president and CEO of Geely Auto Group revealed that the Lynk & Co 02 will hit the market in May and the Lynk & Co 03, 01 PHEV, 02 PHEV and 03 PHEV will hit the market in the second half of this year. He also added that Lynk & Co will focus on both traditional fuel-powered and new energy vehicles to complete its product lineup.
