GAC Trumpchi plans to roll out three new models in 2018 to achieve 700,000 of sales target

Shanghai (ZXZC)- According to local media, GAC Trumpchi plans to roll out 3 new models (including 2 SUV models) this year to help achieve its 2018 annual sales target of 700 thousand units.

GAC Trumpchi delivered over 508,600 vehicles throughout 2017 with a remarkable year-on-year sales growth of 37%. Besides, the automaker released several new models like GS3, GS7 and GM8 into the market which greatly boosted Trumpchi's sales increase last year. So far, the total deliveries of Trumpchi GS3 and GS7 are around 10 thousand units per month. In addition, the sales of GM8 are climbing rapidly. 

According to local media, three new models to be launched this year are the compact SUV GS4's mid-term refreshed version, the middle-sized SUV all-new GS5 and the middle-sized MPV GM6.

GA4, positioned as a compact sedan, was the first new model that went on sale on January 18, 2018. It is highly commended among consumers for its high originality and aesthetic nature. The Trumpchi GA4 is powered by a 1.3L turbocharged engine with a maximum power output of 101kW and a peak torque of 202Nm.

The all-new GS5 is expected to hit the market in the second half this year. According to the photos exposed before, the all-new GS5 is equipped with the integrated spoiler, the shark-fin-shaped antenna, high-position braking at its rear part. As to the interior, the all-new GS5 features a floating center control display below the air outlet of the central air-conditioning. Besides, the three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, push-to-start button, and electronic handbrake make the model more futuristic. 

The all-new GS5 may provide two variants of powertrains, the 1.5L turbocharged engine and the 1.8L turbocharged engine. The 1.5L turbocharged engine is the second-generation engine developed based on GAC GS platform. It is able to output a maximum power of 145kW with a peak torque of 270Nm.
