Tenth-gen Honda Accord to hit market soon
Shanghai (ZXZC)- GAC Honda's 6,000,000th vehicle rolled off the production line on Mar. 19, marking that GAC Honda become GAC Group's first company whose cumulative sales reached 6,000,000 units, according to GAC Honda.
By virtue of rich product lineup and forward-looking planning and deployment of NEVs, GAC Honda announced that it will release more than five new models in 2018. Apart from the to-be-released tenth-gen Honda Accord, the all-new urban high-end SUV of the Honda Acura, the RDX will be locally produced by the end of this year. Besides, it will also offer a NEV version.
The tenth-gen Honda Accord will hit the market in March. The new model retains the same design genes of the all-new Honda Civic, featuring a well-rounded front end, all-LED headlights as well as one-piece design style for intake grille and headlights. It also adds chrome trims and adjusts the shape of fog lights on its front end. The model looks multilayered and dynamic with smooth bodylines, LED tail lights and one ducktail-designed exhaust pipe on both sides.
The new model will come with a 1.5T and a 2.0T turbocharged engine variants at the earlier stage. Mated with a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT, the model with the 1.5T engine will have a maximum power output of 143 kW and a peak torque of 260Nm. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission or a ten-speed automated transmission, the model with the 2.0T engine can deliver a maximum power output of 188kW and a peak torque of 370Nm.
