Changan Auto to roll out 3 new BEV models with longer driving range
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Changan Automobile plans to roll out 3 battery electric vehicle (BEV) models before 2018 ends, the company announced on the launching ceremony of the CS75 PHEV a few days ago.
The three new BEV models, namely, the new Benben EV360, the CS15 EV400 and the EADO EV460, will look basically the same as the existing models, according to the car details exposed by far.
It is noteworthy that the three new models will feature longer range over their outgoing models. The new Benben EV 360's range will be elevated to 316km from the current 251km and its battery energy density will be increased to 151.3kWh/kg at the same time. The presale price for the new Benben EV 360 is said to be RMB 59,900 after subsidy deducted.
The CS15 EV400 will feature a combined mileage up to 351km, 51km longer than that of the existing model. Besides, the new model will adopt the battery pack with energy density of 140.6kWh/kg. The presale price is reportedly ranging from RMB 79,900 to RMB 89,900 for customers who shall have enjoyed subsidy support.
The EADO EV460 will boast the longest range among Changan Automobile's EV models and is expected to go on sale on October 18. The combined range and battery energy density for this model will be 405km and 150.5kWh/kg. After the subsidy deducted, the new model's presale price will sit between RMB 119,900 to RMB 129,900.
