Nio to launch 2024 ET7 sedan on Apr 25, 1st day of Beijing auto show
The 2024 Nio ET7 will be launched on April 25, the first day of the Beijing auto show, with reservations opening on April 16.
Nio didn't provide any more details, but shared several images of the model, showing off the exterior and interior of the updated ET7.
The 2024 Nio ET7 remains the same as the current model on the outside, but appears to get significant upgrades on the inside, including the availability of two large screens in the rear.
The upcoming Beijing auto show will be held from April 25 to May 4, 2024, the biennial event was canceled last time due to Covid concerns.
Separately, Nio announced on Weibo that the company will begin a range challenge with the production version of its 150-kWh semi-solid-state battery on April 16 using the 2024 ET7.
The test, which will begin at 5:50 am Beijing Time on April 16, will challenge a range of 1,100 kilometers on a single charge, the company said.
On December 18, 2023, Nio founder, chairman, and CEO William Li drove a 2023 ET7 with a 150-kWh semi-solid-state battery in a range challenge, ending up with 36 kilometers of remaining CLTC range after 1,044 kilometers of driving.
Nio saw the first mass-produced 150-kWh semi-solid-state battery pack roll off the assembly line earlier this month, and Li says the high-capacity battery is expected to begin entering service in late April.
Nio has eight 2023 models -- ES8, ES7, ES6, EC7, EC6, ET7, ET5, and ET5 Touring -- with the first five being SUVs and the last three sedans. Deliveries of the ET9, unveiled last December, will begin in the first quarter of 2025.
On February 22, the company began accepting customer orders for seven updated models -- the 2024 ES8, ES7, EC7, ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring -- at the same prices as compared to 2023 models.
The 2024 ET7 will be released in April and begin allowing orders to be locked in, Nio said in February.
