Nio partners with Geely on EV charging services
EVs from brands including Geely, Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Polestar, and Smart will be able to use Nio's chargers in their apps' charging maps.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) and Geely Automobile Holdings (HKG: 0175) have entered into a partnership that will support mutual use of their respective charging networks.
Nio Power, the energy arm of Nio, entered into a partnership with Geely Automobile Holdings on March 27 regarding charging network connectivity, the electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today.
Geely-branded vehicles, including the Geely Galaxy and Geometry series, as well as other brands under the Geely Holding umbrella, including Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Polestar, and Smart, will in the future be able to use Nio's charging piles in their apps' charging maps.
Owners of vehicles from these brands will be able to view the location, price, real-time status, station guidelines and other information about Nio's charging piles in real time in their apps, and can quickly complete charging, order payment and other operations.
Geely-built charging piles will also be connected to Nio's system next, according to a statement from the latter.
Previously, Nio and Geely Holding signed a strategic cooperation agreement on battery swap, Nio said, adding that the in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the field of charging and battery swap will further promote the open sharing of the energy network and enhance the user experience.
On November 19, 2023, Nio and Geely Holding signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, where the latter is headquartered, to jointly promote battery swap services.
Nio said at the time that the two sides would jointly promote the development of standards for swappable batteries, the construction and sharing of battery swap networks, the development of battery swap-enabled vehicles, and the establishment of an efficient battery asset management mechanism.
Nio is a major advocate of the battery swap model and one of the EV makers with the largest charging network in China.
As of today, Nio has 2,391 battery swap stations in China, as well as 2,186 supercharging stations providing 9,996 superchargers, according to data monitored by CnEVPost.
It also has 1,551 destination charging stations offering 11,724 charging piles .Nio's charging map has access to 1,008,028 third-party charging piles to date.
