Shanghai (ZXZC)- Dongfeng Yueda Kia delivered 2,050 vehicles, plunging 95.9% month on month and 34% year on year in February. In the past two months of 2018, Dongfeng Yueda KIA sold 51,700 units with a YoY decrease of 15.5%.

This year, Dongfeng Yueda KIA will release seven new models, including six SUV models. With these new models, it is expected to help ease the sales drop. According to its product plan, the company will challenge its sales target of 500,000 units in 2018.

Dongfeng Yueda KIA now has a product portfolio of 14 models, covering sedan and SUV. Among them, its compact sedan, the K3 is a star model which boasts best market performance among all models of Dongfeng Yueda KIA. The model has offered nine variants since it hit the market in 2016.

Positioning a little lower than the K2, the KIA Pegas is a small-size sedan, whose upgraded variant was launched in September last year. The new model holds superiority in appearance and comprehensive fuel consumption. It attracts large attention since it was launched and makes a contribution to Dongfeng Yueda KIA's sales growth.

Compared with 2016, Dongfeng Yueda KIA underwent sales drop in 2017. In addition, a number of industry insiders hold that Chinese passenger vehicle market will see a lower sales growth in 2018. Under such conditions, the company made a series of measures and some improvements on product strategy to ease its situation.
