Geely unveils new flagship K model sketch, expected to be Borui GT

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Recently, the sketch design of Geely's all-new flagship hybrid K model was released. The new model is expected to be Borui GT, Geely's second medium-sized vehicle produced on KC platform. According to relevant news, the plug-in hybrid version of Borui GT will be showcased this year.

The outline of the new K model adopts part of design idea from aircraft with a style of sport sedan. Its front end resembles that of Borui GT according to the declaration photos released before. With an integrated design of front headlight cluster and intake grille, the V-shaped front end is quite recognizable. The intake grille retains the family design of the ripple shape, while looks more flat. The bonnet features 4 muscular lines that convey a strong visual impact. 

From the patent declaration photo previously exposed, Borui GT features double waistlines on two sides. The taillights are connected by horizontal chrome trims. With a fashionable fastback design, the new model measures 4,986mm in length, 1,861 in width and 1,513 in height which is longer than the existing Borui model in length and wheelbase. 

Predictably paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, Borui GT will be powered by two types of engine. The 1.5L twin-turbo engine can deliver a maximum power output of 132kw with a peak torque of 265Nm and the 1.8L twin-turbo engine, boasting a peak torque of 300Nm, is able to output a maximum power up to 135kW. The new model will provide users with various choices of exteriors and scientific configurations. Consumers can make selection at their own demands in the intake grille, hub, sunroof, adaptive cruise control and panoramic view camera, etc.
