The new variant of the Cyberster revives the color scheme of some of the classic models in MG's history, with only 100 units offered in the first round of sales.

MG officially launched the Cyberster in China on the first day of the Guangzhou auto show on November 17, 2023, offering three versions, including two single-motor versions as well as a dual-motor version.

MG calls the three versions Glamour Edition, Style Edition, and Pioneer Edition, with starting prices of RMB 319,800, RMB 339,800, and RMB 359,800, respectively.

Deliveries of the model started on November 25, 2023.

The latest red-topped version of the Cyberster is being offered in just 100 units in the first round of sales to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the MG brand, it said.

MG, known as Morris Garages, was founded in Oxford, England, in 1924.

In July 2005, Nanjing Automobile, a company with a history dating back to 1947, acquired MG and its engine production division.

In April 2007, SAIC acquired Nanjing Automobile and MG became one of its brands.

The new variant of the Cyberster is a four-wheel-drive version with two permanent magnet synchronous motors with peak power of 150 kW and 250 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.

The car is equipped with a 77-kWh Li-ion ternary battery pack provided by CATL, and has a combined CLTC range of 520 kilometers.
