Baojun 530 to hit the market on Mar. 11 with larger size than Geely Boyue
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Baojun will release an all-new compact SUV, the 530 on Mar. 11. Boasting a larger size than the Geely Boyue, the new model has started presale at the end of January with presale price range between RMB 78,800 and RMB 119,800.
The Baojun 530 features U-shaped upper and lower intake grilles. Particularly, the outline of the upper grille was decorated with matte chrome trims. The 530's long and narrow LED headlights are integrated with the daytime running lamps, steering lamps and outline marker lamps. With the horizontal waistlines stretching from headlights to tail lights and trapezoidal elements on its rear end, the model delivers a sense of lower stature.
The new model boasts a premium interior with a variety of leather materials adopted in its center console and center armrest box. In addition, the operating area of the center console and the air conditioner vents are symmetrically designed. Moreover, developed under the latest five-star safety standard, the Baojun 530 also offers a wide variety of high-tech amenities, such as Bosch 9.0 ESP, six safety airbags and tire pressure monitoring system.
The Baojun 530 is powered by a 1.8L naturally aspirated engine or a 1.5L turbo charged engine, mated with a 6-speed wet DCT or a 6-speed AMT. Specifically, the 1.5L turbo charged engine can deliver a maximum power output of 110kW and a peak torque of 230Nm, demonstrating almost the same power performance as that of a 2.4L engine. Besides, the new model has a fuel consumption of 6.9L/100km.
