Shanghai (ZXZC)-BMW Brilliance High Voltage Battery Center recently opened in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province. Being BMW's first complete battery factory outside European and its third global battery factory, the new battery center will help develop, produce and test batteries for BMW Brilliance. With innovative and customized manufacturing process, the center will further enhance BMW Brilliance's competitiveness in NEV sector.

Currently, BMW Brilliance is building a complete new energy eco-system in six areas, such as battery solutions, technology innovation, brands and products, charging and infrastructure and electro-mobility. Apart from manufacturing batteries, the battery center also integrates such functions as R&D, quality, labs, purchasing and supply chain management, etc. Featuring powerful production capability, the battery center lays a solid foundation for the safety, durability and performance of batteries. Meanwhile, battery products can be introduced into the market at a quicker pace.

Based on the new dual-mode battery technology, the High Voltage Battery Center in Shenyang further innovates and upgrades the manufacturing technique for batteries. As BMW's first battery center with complete battery equipment, the center boasts high production efficiency. From the lithium-ion cells to dual-mode highly automated manufacturing process, cutting-edge robot technology in this center ensures the maximization of the precision.
