Zeekr 007 to be officially launched on Dec 27, deliveries to begin on Jan 1

Zeekr will officially launch its first electric sedan, the Zeekr 007, on December 27, with deliveries set to begin on January 1, 2024, the company announced today.
The launch event for the Zeekr 007 will be held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province in eastern China. The model made its debut and went on pre-sale at the Guangzhou auto show on November 17.
The Zeekr 007 has a pre-sale starting price of RMB 229,900 ($32,120), with a RMB 5,000 discount for customers who pre-order before the official launch. Its official price is expected to be announced at the December 27 launch event.
On November 27, Zeekr said the Zeekr 007 received more than 25,000 pre-orders in the nine days after it began pre-sales.
The first show cars of the Zeekr 007 will soon be available in stores, the company said today.
The model is on display at the Changsha auto show, which runs from December 6 to December 11, and will also be on display at the Ningbo auto show, which runs from December 8 to December 11, and the Nanning auto show, which runs from December 14 to December 18, the company said. These three auto shows are smaller-scale events.
Before the official launch of the Zeekr 007, Zeekr will hold the Zeekr Power Day 2023 event on December 14, where the company's new battery will be unveiled.
The first model to carry the battery will be the Zeekr 007, Zeekr's Chief Marketing Officer, Guan Haitao, said on Weibo yesterday.
Zeekr currently sells the Zeekr 001 shooting brake, the Zeekr 009 MPV and the Zeekr X city SUV, all of which are aimed at niche markets. In China, the mainstream choices for consumers are conventional sedans and SUVs.
The Zeekr 007 is based on Geely's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) and measures 4,865 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,450 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,928 mm.
The model will be available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, with the former being able to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in as fast as 5.4 seconds and the latter in 2.84 seconds.
All versions of the Zeekr 007 are based on the 800 V high-voltage architecture for better range and faster charging.
The entry-level version of the Zeekr 007 has a CLTC range of 688 kilometers, while the long-range version reaches 870 kilometers.
Battery suppliers for the model include Geely's joint venture with CATL, and a company called Jidian, according to the model's regulatory filing.
