Geely officially unveiled the Radar brand and its first model, the RD6, on July 12, 2022. The model went on sale in China in October 2022, with first deliveries taking place at the end of November 2022.

Radar is an independent brand with its own R&D facility in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province and a production facility in Zibo, Shandong province.

It is developing a full portfolio of electric lifestyle vehicles, including pickups and SUVs as well as ATVs (all-terrain vehicles) and other lifestyle products, Geely previously said.

The Radar RD6 is powered by a battery pack with a capacity of up to 100 kWh and a range of up to 632 km.

The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 185 kilometers per hour.

The RD6 ranked first in China's new-energy pickup truck sales with a 70.8 percent share of the market in October and a 60.7 percent market share from January to October, Radar said.

Radar's distributor in Laos is expected to invest more than RMB 20 million in channel development and product marketing for the Radar brand, it said.

Radar is accelerating its entry into overseas markets and expects to be on sale in more than a dozen countries by January 2024, the release said.
