Shanghai (ZXZC)-Gu Huinan, General Manager of GAC New Energy announced at the Auto Guangzhou 2017 that GAC New Energy was officially independent from GAC Group, symbolizing that GAC has entered into a new development stage of intelligent NEVs.

Feng Xingya, Chairman of GAC NE, stated that GAC NE, an innovative technology company established by GAC Group, is the first company to enter into GAC NEV industrial park and will lead the industrial park to attract more auto-related companies in the future.

Gu Huinan, Board of Directors and General Manager of GAC NE and Xiao Yong, Deputy General Manager of GAC NE both revealed GAC NE's future plan. Facing the problem of how to enter into the NEV segment in a large scale, Gu Huinan expressed that it doesn't matter the rivals they face, all that matters is that who can manufacture the best model in the next few years or even a decade. Gu expressed that most of the existing NEVs are rebuilt based on the traditional fuel-powered vehicles, and he believed that the NEVs in the future must be a totally original vehicles. He showed GAC's ambition in NEV segment, saying that GAC NE is determined to shape the technology, market, application scenario and even ecology for NEVs in the future.

GAC NE has made preparations for new energy technologies several years earlier. Now it released a variety of NEV models, like the GE3 and the GS4 PHEV. In terms of plug-in hybrid technologies, Gu introduced GAC's two core technologies, which will enable GAC to produce pure hybrid vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

At present, GAC new energy vehicle models were sold together with fuel-powered vehicles. Since GAC NE was founded on July 28, independent sales channel building was the top priority for GAC. According to Xiao Yong, they have started to expand the market and build the channel, and it is expected to build up flagship customer experiencing centers at Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Hangzhou in January next year. Xiao Yong believed that B2B and B2C market will be potential in the future.
