Tesla delivers 43,507 vehicles in China in Sept, Shanghai plant exports 30,566 units

During the third quarter, Tesla delivered 139,624 vehicles in China, accounting for 32.1 percent of its global deliveries of 435,059 vehicles.

In the January-September period, Tesla delivered 433,729 vehicles in China, up 36.33 percent year-on-year.

Tesla's Shanghai factory exported 265,327 vehicles in January-September, up 60.88 percent year-on-year, data monitored by CnEVPost show.

China's retail sales of passenger new energy vehicles (NEVs) were 746,000 units in September, according to the CPCA. This means that Tesla's share of China's NEV market was 5.83 percent last month, down from 9.04 percent in August.

Retail sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in China in September were 500,000 units and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) were 246,000 units, according to the CPCA.

This means that Tesla's share of the Chinese BEV market was 8.70 percent in September, down from 13.18 percent in August.
