Neta delivers 13,211 vehicles in Sept, up 9.15% from Aug
Neta had accumulated more than 10,000 deliveries in Thailand by the end of September.
Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup Neta Auto delivered 13,211 vehicles in September, up 9.15 percent from August but down 26.63 percent year-on-year, according to figures it released today.
Neta didn't provide more, but said it had accumulated more than 10,000 deliveries in Thailand by the end of September.
In the third quarter, Neta delivered 35,353 vehicles, down 26.44 percent year-on-year and down 2.45 percent from the second quarter.
In the January-September period, Neta delivered 97,770 vehicles, down 12.07 percent year-on-year.
The company's cumulative deliveries since inception stand at 345,819 units, data monitored by CnEVPost show.
Neta was founded in October 2014 and in November 2018 it launched its first model, the N01.
The company has been seen as a budget EV maker since its inception, as it has primarily targeted the lower-end market over the past few years.
Neta's current models on sale include the budget Neta Aya and Neta U, as well as its flagship sedan, the Neta S, and sports car, the Neta GT.
The company is expanding into international markets, especially in Southeast Asia.
On August 24, 2022, Neta announced the launch of the right-hand drive version of the Neta V at an event in Thailand for the first model it offered there.
On March 10 of this year, Neta broke ground on its plant in Bangkok, Thailand, which will be its main manufacturing base for building right-hand drive EVs for export to ASEAN.
On March 21, a total of 3,600 Neta V vehicles began shipping at Guangzhou's Nansha port, the largest single export to date by a new Chinese carmaker, Neta said at the time.
In June, Neta V had 2,203 license plate registrations in Thailand, ranking first in the country's all-electric vehicle market with a 28.9 percent share, according to an AutoLife report in July.
