This will be Nio's third Nio Power Day event, and details about the 150-kWh semi-solid battery pack could be one of the main topics.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) will host a new Nio Power Day event in three days, which will be the electric vehicle (EV) maker's third annual event on energy replenishment systems.

Nio will hold its Nio Power Day 2023 event on July 20 in Beijing, with a live online stream running from 14:00-15:30 on the day, the company announced today on its mobile app.

Nio will present a full picture of Nio Power's latest power-up layout plan, product technology and services, it said.

The company did not disclose more information, though details on the 150-kWh semi-solid-state battery pack are expected to be one of the main topics of the event.

On May 24, at the launch event for the new ES6, Nio founder, chairman, and CEO William Li announced that the 150-kWh semi-solid-state battery pack will be available in July.

Earlier this month, Nio updated the owner's manuals for its vehicles to begin to include the 150-kWh battery pack.

The 150-kWh pack weighs 575 kilograms, which is 20 kilograms, or 3.6 percent, higher than the 555 kilograms of Nio's 100-kWh pack, according to its user manuals.

Nio is gradually making Nio Power Day one of its biggest annual events.

The company held its first Nio Power Day event in Shanghai on July 9, 2021, when it announced that by the end of 2025, it will have more than 4,000 battery swap stations around the world, 1,000 of which will be in overseas markets.

On July 6, 2022, Nio held its second Nio Power Day event, unveiling the 500-kW ultra-fast charger and previewing the third generation of battery swap station.

At Nio Day 2022 on December 24, Nio officially launched the 500-kW ultra-fast charger and the third generation of battery swap station.

On April 12 this year, Nio's first 10 third-generation battery swap stations went into operation, and on April 17, its first 15 500-kW ultra-fast charging stations went into operation.
