Lifan annual sales reaches around 133,000 in 2017
Shanghai (ZXZC)- According to Lifan Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. (Lifan), it sold over 28,000 vehicles in December 2017, soaring 76.4% year on year. Besides, Lifan reached an annual sales volume of around 133,000 units in 2017, among which more than 7,000 units were new energy vehicles (NEV) with a growth of 39.4% from a year earlier.
From statistics, during the last month of 2017, the monthly sales of Lifan Motor's traditional combustion-powered PVs jumped 62.1% year on year to some 25,000 units. Meanwhile, the annual sales of traditional combustion-powered PVs were around 125,000 units, slightly falling 2.8% compared with 2016.
In addition, 2,964 units of new energy PVs were sold in December last year, skyrocketing 599.1% from the previous year. The annual sales of new energy PVs leapt 39.4% year on year to 7,738 units.
In accordance with Lifan's planning, the automaker will release at least 5 new energy models in the near future, including 820EV and 650EV with battery range of 400 km and 300 km respectively, the gas-electric hybrid vehicle 720, new 330EV and an AMT hybrid vehicle.
