Nio sold 2,000 units last week, up from 700 the week before and 1,316 in the first week of April.

It is worth noting that Li Auto is currently in the upward cycle of new model deliveries, while Nio and Xpeng are still in the transition to new models.

All of Li Auto's current models are extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), essentially plug-in hybrids that target a larger market than pure electric vehicles.

The company first began offering the cheaper Air lineup, which includes the Li L7 Air as well as the Li L8 Air, when it launched its first five-seat SUV, the Li L7, in early February.

Its flagship model, the Li L9, is only available in the Max version, with the Li L8 previously offered in Pro and Max versions.

Deliveries of both the Li L7 Air and the Li L8 Air began earlier this month.

Nio is shifting its NT 1.0 platform-based models to the NT 2.0 platform and has updated a flagship sedan.

The 2023 ET7 sedan was launched on the first day of the Shanghai auto show on April 18, and the new ES6 based on the NT 2.0 platform was also unveiled. The 2023 ET7 is already taking order lock-ins, with deliveries starting in mid-May. The new ES6 is available for pre-order, but the official launch and delivery will be in late May.

Xpeng debuted the G6 on April 18 at the Shanghai auto show, but did not announce the price information.

On March 17, Xpeng management said during the company's four-quarter earnings call that the G6 with a price range of RMB 200,000 ($28,910) - RMB 300,000, will be officially launched and delivered by the end of the second quarter.
