Lexus hits new sales record in China’s market, up 22% year on year
Shanghai (ZXZC)- It is reported that Lexus sold around 132,900 vehicles in China's market in 2017, increasing 22% from a year earlier, over 20,000 units more than its 2016 annual sales of around 109,200 units in China.
Besides, in the last month of 2017, its monthly sales in China’s market were 13,033 units, up 21.5% year on year, hitting the monthly record in 2017.
The steady sales growth of Lexus in China's market was benefited from the good sales performance of the medium-large sedan ES, the medium SUV NX and the medium-large SUV RX. Among them, ES was the best seller.
Thanks to the introduction of more new models and the popularization of hybrid power technologies, the percentage of the hybrids series' monthly sales basically remained at 30% of total Lexus monthly sales in China's market. In December, 2017, the sales of the hybrids series reached 4,032 units.
Lexus is ready to introduce more new models into China's auto market. At Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition in November, 2017, Lexus showcased the all-new LS and the all-new LC that will be put into China's market for sale on January 11, 2018. Currently, Lexus has announced their prices for presale and 4S shops begin to order them. The all-new LS may release 6 models for sale whose reference presale prices are between RMB 900,000 to 1,300,000 and the all-new LC includes 3 models for sale, which will probably be sold at price of RMB 1,300,000 to 1,400,000.
