Shanghai (ZXZC)- With the press conference of Hongqi's brand strategy drawing near, Xu Liuping, Chairman and Party Committee Secretary of FAW Group appointed Gao Fang, former vice president of FAW Toyota, as the deputy general manager of FAW-Hongqi Sales Company to take charge of market, brand and product planning.

Previously, Xu liuping has vowed to build Hongqi as China's first luxury vehicle brand. During the previous year, FAW Group has made a decision that it would operate the whole value chain for Hongqi brand. With a series of structural adjustments, FAW will provide direct decision making and management as well as its maximum support in various aspects, such as manufacturing, research and quality warranty, to help Hongqi go upscale.

Xu Liuping emphasized the importance of Hongqi's business again in his 2018 New Year greetings. The personnel change also hinted Xu Liuping's ambition and expectation to revive Hongqi with a range of talented senior executives.
