Satisfaction from customers in Europe who have received deliveries of Nio vehicles is meeting expectations, but the company's infrastructure in Europe is well behind expectations, William Li, the company's founder, chairman and CEO, said during a March 1 analyst call following the announcement of fourth-quarter earnings.
"Our colleagues are working hard, but this is a little bit further from our original plan," Li said.
The opening of Nio's flagship showroom, Nio House, has also been slower than the company had expected, and these will affect deliveries, Li said at the time.
"What we can see is that the feedback from users on all aspects of the test drive is very good, and our team is gradually getting on track. But in general, we have to speed up the infrastructure," he said.
Nio is still not focusing on deliveries in Europe as its main goal, but on customer satisfaction, Li added.
In China, Nio has 1,321 battery swap stations to date.
On February 21, Nio announced plans to add 1,000 battery swap stations in China in 2023, 2.5 times the previously announced plan of 400, to bring the facility to more than 2,300 by the end of the year.
