Nio added three battery swap stations today, bringing the number of the facility in China to 1,320.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) announced a new, more aggressive battery swap station construction goal a week ago, and said it would add a wish list feature to the Nio App. Now, the feature is officially available.

In an effort to make site selection more efficient, the battery swap stations wish list feature is now live, according to a post published today on the company's app.

"We welcome your active participation in suggesting areas for battery swap stations and look forward to hearing from those who have resources such as sites and power capacity to help us," the post says.

Nio owners and consumers who have reserved Nio vehicles can submit their wish lists.

Each user can fill in three urban addresses and three addresses along highways where they would like Nio to build battery swap stations. Users with multiple Nio vehicles can fill out the form multiple times.

Owners with recommendations for sites and power capacity can fill in their city and site on the "Help Build a Station" page.

Suitable sites need to be easily accessible, spacious and safe, suitable for unattended use, and have a power capacity between 630 kW and 1,250 kW.

Owners who complete the wish list can share the poster and invite more consumers to experience Nio vehicles.

Successfully inviting others to test drive or purchase an Nio vehicle can accelerate the progress of wish list completion, according to the article.

On February 21, Nio announced that it plans to add 1,000 battery swap stations in 2023, 2.5 times the previously announced plan of 400 stations.

Starting in June, Nio will essentially maintain a construction rate of 120-150 battery swap stations per month, it said last week.

To support the aggressive new plan, Nio has held multiple face-to-face communication events with owners over the past week, according to information shared on the Nio App.

"I came with a wish, but also with resources," local media outlet Jiemian said in a report today, citing a Beijing-based owner who attended one of the events.

"If Nio can fulfill my wish, I am willing to provide as many resources as possible, after all, it is a win-win thing," the owner said.

His wish is for Nio to build a new battery swap station in his desired area, and his resource is knowing the local property manager.
