BYD releases mobile app with vehicle control capabilities for Thai consumers
Vehicle owners in Thailand can keep track of the status of their vehicles in real-time and control them remotely via the BYD App.
The BYD Atto 3, known as the Yuan Plus in China, was officially launched in China on February 19.
The Atto 3 is BYD's first global passenger car and is already available in countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Cambodia and Costa Rica, as well as in Europe.
On August 8, BYD and RÊVER held a joint press conference in Bangkok to announce their official entry into the passenger car market in this Southeast Asian country.
On October 10, BYD and Rêver jointly announced the launch of the Atto 3 in Thailand.
In September, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker signed a land purchase agreement with Thai industrial property developer WHA Industrial Development PLC, a subsidiary of the WHA Group.
BYD's plant here is expected to start operations in 2024, with an annual capacity of 150,000 electric passenger vehicles, which will be exported to ASEAN countries as well as Europe.
