Dongfeng Honda breaks new sales record in 2017
Shanghai (ZXZC)- According to official statistics, in 2017, the overall annual delivery sales volume of Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co.,Ltd (Dongfeng Honda) reached 727,025 units, up 22% year on year; its wholesales volume leapt 25.3% from a year earlier to 714,255 units. In 2017, Dongfeng Honda improved its annual sales target three times and accomplished all of them.
According to Dongfeng Hoda, its monthly sales had exceeded 60,000 units for many months among which the December sales nearly reached 80,000 units. In fact, at the beginning of 2017, the original annual sales target Dongfeng Honda set was 650,000 units. Thanks to the rapid growth, this target was raised firstly to 680,000 units in midyear and secondly to 700,000 units nearly at the end of 2017. On December 26 of 2017, Dongfeng Honda achieved the annual sales target of 700,000 units ahead of schedule, and then it thirdly improved the target to 714,000 units.
Speaking of models, since the all-new CR-V came to market for sale, its annual delivery sales increased by 0.3% to 187,741 units compared with the performance of 2016. The annual delivery sales of XR-V were 163,550 units, remaining flat with previous year. Dongfeng Honda sold 39,909 units of UR-V throughout 2017. Meanwhile, the delivery sales of CIVIC achieved 176,457 units with a splendid growth of 95%.
The annual sales of JADE in 2017 grew 2.2% from a year earlier with a total volume of 41,871 units. The 2017 whole sales of ELYSION soared 35.9% to 40,921 units compared with its sales in 2016. Besides, SPIRIOR and GREIZ were sold 19,990 units and 28,984 units respectively throughout 2017. GIENIA did an impressive performance in 2017 with an annual delivery sales of 27,702 units, up 311% year on year. From these statistics, it can be learnt that the growth of SUVs and sedans were becoming gradually steady.
In the area of new vehicle products, Dongfeng Honda is about to launch a new electric vehicle in 2018. According to the Trademark Office of the State Administration for Industry & Commerce of PRC, Dongfeng Honda officially submitted a registration application of a new trademark “Yuguan" which was expected to be the trademark for its new electric vehicle.
