5G likely to run in 2020, a internet of vehicle's flashpoint
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Since more and more young people buy cars, new auto technologies are increasingly acceptable for consumers. The internet of vehicle is one of the popular technologies that has gradually prevailed in China’s auto market. Beyond all doubt, this technology cannot be developed without the support of numerous datum and multiple software platforms. Xin Keduo, the president of China Unicom Smart Connection Technology Co.,Ltd (Unicom Smart Connection) gave his viewpoint on internet of vehicles.
Xin Keduo said that 5G is a necessary technology in communication area. Currently, many countries are striving for 5G's power of speech. Mr Miao, the minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC used to say that its success cannot be achieved by only one country. At present, some of China’s enterprises have gotten a few accomplishments in several aspects of IT industry. China is expected to set out the trial operation of 5G in 2020, and may be 3 to 5 years later, 5G could be extensively covered.
Xin believed that 2020 may be a flashpoint for internet of vehicle. Hence, auto enterprises should improve their service quality and be well prepared for the following operation works.
He also said that Unicom Smart Connection has built cooperative relationships with 58 auto manufacturers at home and abroad. There are some differences between Chinese local brands and foreign brands in cooperation. Firstly, in terms of overall layout, foreign brands have displayed their layouts of intelligent network much earlier than Chinese local brands. Hence, apart from the businesses in their own countries, foreign brands must concern about their layouts in oversea market, while Chinese local brands have no such concerns. Next, Chinese local brands grows faster than foreign brands, especially in internet of new energy vehicle which has became an advanced brand on world stage. Thirdly, Chinese local brands are much freer in Internet applications. Usually, foreign brands have very strict managements in big data technologies; therefore they are pretty cautious in internet application.
