BYD's premium brand Yangwang starts hiring spree

BYD's premium brand has started a massive recruitment drive after the brand's Chinese name was confirmed as Yangwang (仰望).
The brand is currently offering a total of 21 positions including product planning, user operations, digital experience, brand planning, marketing, media relations and retail, according to a poster today.
"We are a new automotive brand responsible for BYD's premium brand car sales business," the poster reads.
Candidates will need to have at least three years of experience within the automotive industry, with preference given to those with experience in the fashion and luxury industry or in the high-end automotive industry.
The job descriptions for these positions suggest that Yangwang will be targeting high-end consumers, with a strong focus on user operations.
For the user operation position, candidates will be required to develop user operation system, maintain and cultivate core quality users, and plan and conduct online and offline user communication activities.
The user experience strategy position requires candidates to be able to revise and iterate products based on market trends and user feedback, conduct user-centered structured research, and improve overall user satisfaction.
Candidates for the digital experience post will be required to build membership systems and will need to write content based on user needs and hot topics.
Other positions including marketing, event operations, brand planning, and media relations are preferred for those with experience in the luxury industry.
On November 8 BYD officially announced the Chinese name of its premium car brand -- Yangwang, which literally means "looking up".
The brand's official launch is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2023, when its first hardcore off-road model will be unveiled.
The brand's products are expected to be priced at RMB 800,000 ($111,300) - 1.5 million, with specific prices to be announced when the relevant models are launched.
