The RD6 starts at about $24,700, and Radar says the model will disrupt traditional pickup scenarios.

The truck comes standard with a permanent magnet synchronous motor of up to 200 kW power and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.

The RD6 has three battery pack options with capacities of 63 kWh, 86 kWh and 100 kWh, providing a CLTC range of 400 km, 550 km and 632 km respectively.

The 400 km range version of the truck is priced at RMB 178,800, the 550 km range has two versions priced at RMB 198,800 and RMB 228,800, and the 632 km range version is priced at RMB 268,800.

RD6 supports L2 driving assistance with features including Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.

The pickup has 6-kW external discharge function, supporting discharge at rest, discharge on the move, and vehicle-to-vehicle discharge. It has 220V/10A household electrical interface, 220V/16A industrial electrical interface, and 12V low-voltage electrical interface.

At present, Chinese consumers can book the model through channels including Radar website and App, so as to get some exclusive rights and benefits.

Geely officially unveiled the Radar brand and its first model, the RD6, on July 12, the automaker's answer to the US brand Rivian, which could be part of its plan to complete its aggressive sales volume in the coming years.

Geely announced its "Smart Geely 2025" strategy last October 31, aiming for total sales of 3.65 million units by 2025, meaning an average of 10,000 units per day.

Radar is a fully capable independent brand with its own R&D facility in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and a fully equipped EV production facility in Zibo, Shandong.

Radar began pre-sales of the RD6 on September 29 and saw the first production vehicles roll off the production line.

At the launch of the RD6 yesterday, Radar said the model will disrupt traditional pickup truck use scenarios and create a more diverse and higher-value travel experience for users.

With technological breakthroughs and upgrades to the model's features, as well as policy support for the Chinese pickup market, more and more customers are choosing pickup models, Radar said.
