Li Auto has lowered its guidance for third-quarter deliveries, with September delivery figures expected to be released in just a few days.

Li Auto now expects to deliver about 25,500 vehicles in the third quarter, down from a previous estimate of 27,000 to 29,000 vehicles, according to an announcement from the company today.

This revision is a direct result of supply chain constraints while underlying demand for the company's vehicles remains strong, Li Auto said.

The company will continue to work closely with supply chain partners to address bottlenecks and accelerate production, it said.

Li Auto's latest outlook means it expects to deliver 10,507 vehicles in September, considering it delivered 10,422 vehicles in July and 4,571 vehicles in August.

This would mean it will deliver 48 percent more in September than a year ago and 130 percent more than in August.

The company is expected to announce its September deliveries on October 1.

Li Auto officially launched the Li L9, the company's second model after the Li ONE, on June 21.

Li Auto founder, chairman and CEO Li Xiang said on Weibo on June 4 that the Li L9 would be officially delivered to customers in August, and the delivery volume could exceed 10,000 in September.

However, on August 28, Li Auto announced that there was a delay in the supply of its range extender factory in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, resulting in a delay in the start of Li L9 deliveries.

On August 30, Li Auto officially began deliveries of the Li L9.

On September 22, the company announced that it had moved up the launch of the new model, the Li L8, to September 30 instead of the planned early November, as it lost potential consumers of the Li ONE.

Li Auto said last week that the Li L8 is the successor to the Li ONE, confirming earlier rumors that its first model was discontinued.
